DDC discloses LOI with Apple Express Courier

Drone Delivery Canada (DDC) disclosed this week its latest Letter of Intent (LOI), this time with Apple Express Courier, reports a company press release. The news quickly follows on from a previous LOI with Drones Express on November 24th. Under the terms of the Apple Express LOI, the company will use DDC’s Sparrow, Robin XL and Condor drones alongside the craft’s FLYTE system.


The releases states, “DDC will provide implementation & commissioning of the systems, training, technical support, ongoing managed services and remote monitoring from its Operations Control Centre in Vaughan, Ontario.” It goes on, “Anticipated projects would initially focus on healthcare and ecommerce deliveries in Northern Ontario with potential subsequent expansion to other provinces in Canada. All operations will be conducted in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and Transport Canada flight authorisations.”

Apple Express was established as a Toronto-based, local-delivery business in 1985. Today, the company focuses on “highly customised, outsourced, SLA satisfaction and last-mile supply chain solutions for large healthcare, IT, and retail businesses.”
