Swoop Aero wins ABA100 product innovation award


Australian drone company, Swoop Aero, has won the Australian Business Award (ABA100) 2020 for Product Innovation, reports a company press release.


Eric Peck, CEO and co-founder of Swoop Aero said, “This award recognises our company’s achievements for the R&D of the proprietary drone. Our logistics infrastructure is trusted by global health sector organisations including UNICEF, the Gates Foundation, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, USAID and UKAID. We are rapidly growing and are on track of reaching 100 million people by 2025”.


Founded in 2017, Swoop Aero has a fleet of autonomous craft with each able to carry 3 kilograms of medical cargo, delivered at speed and precision to those requiring essential health products. The company recently rolled out a major drone delivery network in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Swoop Aero’s first operations began in the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu in 2018 and since have worked across the emerging and developing world from Malawi to Australia.
